James drove an ice cream truck
in 1990 to pay for a trip to Papua New Guinea. He was so impressive that Blue Bell Ice Cream hired James as a manager the next year. In 1997 he purchased the street vending business from Blue Bell Ice Cream.
He changed the name to
Big Bell Ice Cream and is now the CEO (Chief Eating Officer - someone has to test the new products) of Big Bell, and owns a freezer with more square footage than his home
Notice how the Vanilla Big Dipper looks very similar to the ice cream in the Big Bell logo. James picked his favorite ice cream - the now discontinued Caramel Big Dipper.
